At Apollo Tours & Travel, we believe that exploring the world also means caring for it. Our commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is at the heart of everything we do, ensuring that our journeys not only inspire our travelers but also uplift the destinations we visit.

Tree Planting at Nairobi National Park

As a transport company the impact we have on the environment is significant. Our strengths in this area have been our company specific emergency preparedness & response procedure.

We have also put in place measures to ensure our accountability:

  • Establishing and implementing environmental policies at our workplace and during service delivery to our clients.
  • Putting in place measures to reduce our carbon footprint by replacing our old fleet with more hybrid vehicles.
  • We have fully aligned with local legislation (DOSH) in putting in place measures to manage hazardous and chemical waste.
  • We have in previous years partnered with Safaricom in support of the Safaricom (LEWA) Marathon, using wildlife conservation as a catalyst to alleviate poverty.
  • We have also adopted the climate action goal and as company we have a target of planting trees to combat global warming and preserve our environment.

Heels4Pads Initiative

Part of our contributions to society in the form our CSR projects have been:

  • Supporting Ghetto Classics program in Partnership with Safaricom through sponsorship of The Safaricom Jazz
    Festival.
  • We also support on career Education by integrating the less fortunate students into our internship progamme where they can gain skills in management and mechanics.
  • Also joining the Blue Company Project which is an organization of regional privately held companies that have committed to fighting corruption within our organization.
  • Distributing sanitary towels and other personal hygiene products in partnership with Sister Speaks and the Heels4Pads Initiative. We have had the privilege of supporting this cause across 4 counties.

Ethics & Sustainability

  • We are integrating requirements, specifications and criteria that are compatible with the protection of the environment and the society in our procurement processes.
  • Commitment to this ensures our values are integrated through our company’s supply chain and into the life cycle of the services that we provide to our customers.
  • We have set up policies to ensure every entity that we are actively involved in is adhering to our company’s requirements.
  • We are also part of KATO (Kenya Association of Tour Operators) which is an organization comprising of the leading and most experienced tour operators in Kenya licensed by the Government of Kenya.
